Happiness. That’s what I want. Heck, it’s what we all want, isn’t it?
But where do we find it? In money, fame or even power? Any Hollywood star knows the answer: none of those three options are the recipe for happiness.
To me, happiness is doing something meaningful with my life. To be authentic. To put tons and tons of energy into everything I do. And even better: to get tons and tons of energy out of it. All day, every day. With pleasure.
Talking about pleasure: I want to make this world a bit more pleasant. After all: happiness is at its best when you share, isn’t it?
My favourite way of sharing is to create shoes that make a difference and enable people to accentuate their identity and make them stand out to the crowd in this globalizing world.
And by ‘people’, I mean the ones who wear my shoes, as well as the ones who make them. Both producing and buying shoes should be a meaningful experience. One that people happily want to share.
I consider myself as a persistent and socially responsable entrepreneur, just waiting for the right moment to show the world what I’m made of. With a bit of luck, and a little help from you, this is that moment.
Ultimately, when I make my final jump into oblivion, I want to be able to look back at my life and say: “I’m leaving my friends and family in a world that’s a tad better than when I came onto it.”
And even with all the creativity in the world, I couldn’t think of a better ending.
